It’s that time of year again rampant when cold pervades most of the houses. Here in Idaho, winter weather is very cold and seems forever.

Precautions for use of Goldenseal
Canadian Orange root is a strong plant and must be used with caution. You should take no more than a week every day. Eating a fresh plant may result in inflammation of the mucous membrane. In high doses, the Canadian Orange root can irritate skin, mouth, throat, and vagina. If inflammation develops, you stop taking them immediately. Canadian Orange root causes nausea and diarrhea in this case, you should stop the it immediately. Do not use during pregnancy because it can stimulate the uterus. Do not use Goldenseal without consulting with a doctor if you have had a stroke, heart disease, diabetes, glaucoma had or that have high blood pressure. It stimulates the heart muscle and the result is elevated blood pressure. Give children under two Canadian Orange root and do not start with small doses in children. High doses may interfere with vitamin B metabolism. Before using this potent herb, do your research and know the facts.
